Tomorrow, November 6, is Election Day, and MinKwon Center and APA VOICE urge all registered Korean and Asian American voters in NYC and across the country to show up and vote.
Our voices matter, and it's important to go to the polls and vote our values: that immigrant families are here to say and deserve to reside with freedom, dignity, and opportunity. |

At the Polling Site: - Identification is often required to vote. Voters should not be turned away due to gender marker discrepancies. State-issued ID, NYCID, military ID and passport are all valid to confirm your identity. You are not required to provide a specific form of ID in order to vote.
- If you find a problem identifying yourself or finding your identity on the roster, request to vote by a "provisional ballot", which is a ballot that is used for voters who can't confirm their identity at the polls. It is your federally-protected right to request and vote by provisional ballot.
- Limited English-proficient voters have the right to bring someone with them to interpret. The NY ballot is translated in 16 languages and Russian, Haitian Creole, Yiddish, Polish, Italian and Arabic interpreters will be made available at select polling sites.
- Call the MinKwon Korean Language Voter Hotline at 1-718-460-5600 or the Asian American Legal Defense Fund (AALDEF) Multilingual Hotline at 1-800-966-5946 to ask questions or report any problems, delays, omissions or harassment.
