Election Day is next Tuesday, Nov. 3!
What's Your Voting Plan?

We're in the final seven days of the crucial 2020 general election, and people across the country have been turning out to the polls in historic numbers. As of yesterday, 62 million registered voters have already voted early, shattering previous records for many states. This includes hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers who have already mailed in their ballots or went to their early voting poll sites since last Saturday. How will you vote in this election?

1. Vote By Mail

Due to COVID-19, any New Yorker has the right to vote by mail in the upcoming election. New Yorkers who plan to vote by mail must request their absentee ballots by TODAY, Tue. Oct. 27 online or by mail. They may also request in-person by  Mon., Nov. 2 at their local Board of Elections office. Don't delay: request your absentee ballot online NOW.

New Yorkers voting by mail must postmark their absentee ballot or drop off their ballot at their local poll site no later than on Election Day, Tue. Nov. 3. If you already have your absentee ballot, we recommended that you mail or drop off your completed ballot TODAY, Tue. Oct. 27, exactly one week from Election Day.

2. Early Voting

Early Voting is happening now until Sun., Nov. 1! Find your Early Voting poll site (different from your Election Day poll site!) and cast your ballot during the following days and hours. Remember, if you make in line by closing time, you will be able to vote if you stay in line!
  • Tue., Oct. 27: 12 PM - 8 PM
  • Wed., Oct. 28: 12 PM - 8 PM
  • Thu., Oct. 29: 10 AM - 6 PM
  • Fri., Oct. 30: 7 AM - 3 PM
  • Sat., Oct. 31: 10 AM - 4 PM
  • Sun., Nov. 1: 10 AM - 4 PM

2. Voting on Election Day, Tue. Nov. 3: 6 AM - 9 PM

We recommend voting early if you can, but you may also vote traditionally on Election Day! Find your Election Day poll site and cast your ballot between 6 AM - 9 PM. As with Early Voting, if you make in line by closing time, you will be able to vote if you stay in line!

On Election Day, the MinKwon Center will covert our office phone number (718-460-5600) to the Korean Language Voter Hotline. Please call our number for any election-related questions and concerns in Korean.

Volunteer for the Election with MinKwon!

There are two opportunities to volunteer for the 2020 election with us! We are partnering with NAKASEC to call and text voters in New York and Pennsylvania all this week, reminding them to vote and answering any questions they may have. We are partnering with AALDEF to conduct exit polling and poll monitoring on Election Day at six poll sites in Flushing, surveying voters on their experiences and issues and providing real-time voter protection.
