GIVE to Our New COVID-19 Share the Relief Fund!

Your Donation will be DOUBLED!

Dear MinKwon Community:

We hope this message finds you and your loved ones healthy and safe in midst of these uncertain times.

We are appealing to you to please make a donation to our new COVID-19 Share the Relief Fund. 100 percent will go directly to community members in need who are ineligible for other forms of relief including unemployment and federal stimulus funds.

The COVID-19 pandemic has not created inequities -- it has brought the pain caused by existing inequities to the surface, including the structures and policies that continue to segment our communities that place different values on human life and human dignity. Everyone should have access to healthcare, food, housing, education, and emergency relief regardless of immigration status.

Undocumented and marginalized immigrants are at disproportionate risk of COVID-19, as many are essential workers and continue to work with or without the means of proper sanitation and protective equipment. Yet they have been largely overlooked and excluded from emergency relief policies and benefits by the State and Federal government.

In light of these inadequate responses, we have launched the COVID-19 Share the Relief Fund that will support undocumented Korean American individuals and families living in NYC. The fund will provide direct cash payments to community members, and will later expand to include other forms of assistance as the needs of our communities change rapidly.

This is an amazing opportunity to make a donation or give a part of your stimulus check to support and protect our communities who are being impacted and have less access to resources. Your donation will be MATCHED 1-to-1 thanks to a generous private foundation grant, up to the first $15,000. All donations will be tax-deductible.

Give, invite others, and create your own peer-to-peer fundaiser so we can all Share the Relief!
